Prayer
Prayer is one of the greatest priviliges we have; it has been compared to oxygen in the Chirstian life. For Rockyview, prayer is vital because it is in prayer that we communicate and stay in relationship with God, & and it is through our prayer life that we access all that we need from God, for ourselves and for our church. It is also less important how we pray than what we pray.
When it comes to prayer, Jesus is our model. It has been said that Jesus didn't have a prayer life but lived a life of prayer. At Rockyview Alliance Church we want to follow Jesus' example. We want to grow a culture of prayer.
Prayer is not something we only practice alone, but also in community with others. Prayer isn't just one of the ways we support one another ("I'll pray for you this week"), but it is also a way to minister to someone in their time of need.
Prayer can take on many different forms, so at Rockyview, we have a few different prayer ministries that take place on a regular basis:
-
SUNDAY MORNING PRE-SERVICE PRAYER - (IN PRAYER ROOM)
-
SUNDAY MORNING POST-SERVICE PRAYER - (IN SANCTUARY & PRAYER ROOM)
-
PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY
-
ONE ON ONE PRAYER WITH A PASTOR
On Sunday mornings after the service, we invite those who want it to stay for prayer. This is why we have prayer team members who can come alongside people, to listen, lift them up in prayer, asking God to reveal Himself to them & to help them embrace His love, healing, and restoration for their lives.
If you would like, you can submit a prayer request by contacting our office. Requests will be shared with our congregation's prayer chain. For private prayer requests (that will only be seen by our pastoral team), please email either our Lead Pastor or our Family Ministries Pastor.
